The Windel Group takes over “The Chocolate Family“ and expands its range of Belgian chocolates
With its brands ICKX and Pralibel, and as a partner for well-known companies, TCF stands for a broad and exceptionally high-quality range of classic and innovative Belgian pralines. TCF employs more than 200 employees at two locations in Essen and Vichte (both Belgium). The company also operates several Art-of-Chocolate shops in Germany and the Netherlands.
Founded in 1972, The Chocolate Family supplies its products worldwide to both traditional retail stores as well as major retail companies. By joining forces with the Windel Group, new opportunities are established for TCF in order to implement its future-oriented growth strategy.
TCF will closely collaborate with Kim’s Chocolates, which is also part of the Windel Group and one of Belgium’s largest chocolate manufacturers. This partnership will create a one-stop shop for customers seeking Belgian premium chocolates. While TCF has perfected the art of praline production, Kim’s Chocolates focuses on making chocolate bars and tablets.

With the acquisition of The Chocolate Family, the Windel Group is sending a clear signal for sustainable growth and the strengthening of its international market position.
The Windel Group including TCF employs more than 800 employees and currently generates a total turnover of over 250 million euros.
